Why not start the new year with a lecture from one of the most widely acclaimed young talents coming out of the Netherlands.
Maarten Baas will be giving a 'Studium Minerva' lecture discussing his work, motivation, philosophy and inspirations.
Best known for ‘Smoke’, his graduation project from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2002, which brought him worldwide attention, Baas’ success as a designer has been quite significant in the six years since graduating.
Producing a number of equally successful collections, including ‘Clay Furniture, Sculpt and his latest work for the Contrasts Gallery in Shanghai, Baas continues to cause international sensations with his hand-made furniture.
