This weekend sees Maker Faire return to Austin for its second year, presenting a two-day celebration of Do-It-Yourself culture.

The Faire which has been organised by the staff of Make and Craft magazines, will bring together science, art, craft and engineering in a diverse programme of events and workshops that fall under the headings of Art & Crafts, DIY Science & Engineering, Robotics, Sustainable Living, Fun For Kids and Music.

Visitors as well as a scientists, designers, homemakers, students, automotive enthusiasts, software developers, and musicians will be turning their hands to transforming technology and crafting with unconventional and unexpected renegade techniques and materials.
