16th October - 22nd October '08
The Rotunda: University of Pennsylvania
4014 Walnut Street, Philadelphia
Exhibited as part of Design Philadelphia, Philly(Heart)Design presents a collection of design work submitted by students, professionals, and others in the product, graphic, and interactive design fields.
Hosted at the University of Philadelphia’s Rotunda and curated by Jamie Salm, Issac Salm, and Alexandra Schmidt-Ullrich, this exhibit features a broad range of work in an immersive environment.
Highlights of the show include the Hangar Table, which elevates the status of the plastic coat hanger in creating a coffee table base; the Pixel Vase, whose archetypical vase form shifts to allow for an expanded variety of arrangement options; and Tech Tacks, which playfully recycles keyboard keys as push pins.
