China's Space Soul / Yksi Expo

Opening this month to coincide with the Dutch Design Week is China's Space Soul, two exhibitions celebrating Chinese interior and product design at Yksi Expo in the Designhuis and Strijp S, Eindhoven.

The exhibitions presented by Yksi Expo, will show works from fourteen Chinese designers practicing in varying regions of mainland China.

Coming from a host of different backgrounds, design orientations and styles the exhibitions aim to bring the diversity of these works together by demonstrating the deep imprint Chinese history bears on all of their work.

In addition to these exhibits there will be a workshop organised by Material Sense on the 20th October. Twenty Dutch and Chinese designers will come together in a collaboration of the deep-rooted Chinese tradition of working in paper with natural materials and the strong Dutch tradition of simple and clear graphic design.
