Designers in Residence is an annual exhibition that invites a group of emerging designers to transform areas of the museum. By Supporting the selected designers at an early stage of their career, it allows them to build on their current design practice and develop new or existing work.
This year’s residents, which include the likes of Jethro Macey, Freddie Yauner and Sarah Angold, have been chosen for their experimental approach to design and have been invited to create installations responding to the theme of collections and the notion of collecting.
Works range from a contemporary interpretation of the infamous Curiosity Cabinet to a continuous Bench which will flow in and around the Design Museum Tank.
