Summer Nights - Matthew Springett Associates
6th August '08 7pm-8.30pm
Building Design Partnership
16 Brewhouse Yard, London
As the first in a series of four talks, featuring London’s best young architectural practices, Matthew Springett will discuss his thoughts, experiences.
While studying at the Bartlett, Matthew Springett won a RIBA silver medal for his design for an urban pig farm in Lower Manhattan. Since graduating he has put pigs aside to complete numerous built projects in both the residential and commercial sectors, ranging from a hydrotherapy pool for children with learning disabilities to the very cool headquarters for St Luke’s Communications, an advertising agency. Springett maintains an involvement in education, acting as a design tutor at the Bartlett, that he believes is fundamental to both his and the practice's attitude in challenging design conventions.
Chaired by a range of distinguished journalists and professionals and curated by The Architectural Foundation, Summer Nights is a series of four talks showcasing those shaping the future in building design.
