Donald Judd's Home & Studio
Interior Architecture and Design
Donald Judd‘s idea of art that art should be installed permanently comes into reality with the opening of home & studio on 101 Spring Street in New York.
He bought the property in 1968 with the intention to sensitively restore it. He spent years he searching for furniture, art and object and began to settle permanent installations of his work and other artists’ work, which is now an amazing Donald Judd’s “permanent museum."
The space brings Judd’s art into its purest form in accordance with Judd’s state of mind: “Somewhere there has to be a place where the installation is well done and permanent.”
