Alexandra Agudelo at the US Colombian Embassy Residence
20 March - 12 April '14
Washington D.C
Cristina Grajales Gallery is excited to announce the opening of Alexandra Agudelo's solo exhibition, Silver Works, taking place at the Colombian Embassy Residence in Washington D.C.
Agudelo uses an ancient technique known as “batido”, which involves hitting sheets of silver between two hard surfaces with a hammer, in order to expand or collect material without resorting to welding. Her works are inspired by the natural environment found in the Pacific and Caribbean regions of Colombia. Silver Works will be on view until April 12, 2014.
