'Footnotes on Candida Höfer' at Gallery OMR

OMR and el52 are pleased to present the group exhibition Footnotes on Candida Höfer, with works from Candida Höfer, Jose Dávila, Jorge Méndez Blake, Theo Michael, Daniel Silver and Erwin Wurm.
The group exhibition Footnotes on Candida Höfer takes as a starting point the german photographer’s iconic images and puts them in dialogue with the work of different contemporary artists and antiques to generate an experimental curatorial discourse.
The selection of photographs by Candida Höfer for this show, focuses on cultural spaces, such as libraries, museums and inhabited theaters in which human absence and space greatness predominate. The perfect perspective, the colors, light and simmetry chosen by the artist’s lens, contribute to the spaces decontextualization, turning them into artifices.
