Dudy Vase

Tomas Kral’s design for the Dudy Vase is inspired by the traditional wind instrument - the bagpipe. He found the process of playing the bagpipe very similar to that of glassblowing – each using breath to shape their composition.

From this observation, he created the Dudy Vase. The wooden vase body then refers to the wooden molds and the typology of the
bagpipe – while the glass ‘flutes’ link to his original inspiration.

The Dudy Vase was first shown in an exhibition at krehky glallery in Bratislava. It has since been shown at the design festival in Mikulov (cz).

The Dudy Vase is a limited edition for the krehky gallery.
