R 20th Century is delighted to announce the gallery's first solo exhibition of works by Korean artist Hun-Chung Lee, March 6 - April 28, 2012. This new collection reveals Lee combining materials such as stack-laminated wood, steel, concrete and glazed ceramic to create uniquely beautiful and structurally innovative designs.
One of Lee’s goals as a designer is to maintain a constant awareness of the “landscape of human beings” that will use and live with his designs. His works are exceptionally successful as functional pieces, while also possessing an elegance and presence as exquisite sculptural objects. Many of the pieces are multi-functional and the majority of concrete and ceramic pieces can be used both indoors and outdoors.
